The Human Capital Development Policy Commission (HCDPC) focuses on finding more efficient ways to accelerate more and better investments in people in terms of health, education, social protection and women empowerment for greater equity and economic growth.
The ultimate aim and objective of the Human Capital Development Policy Commission is to increase the level and contribution of Nigeria’s labour force in line with various Nigerian Economic Summit recommendations with a view to fast-tracking growth and development of the economy.
* At NES #24 the HCDPC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Universities Commission (NUC) on the revitalization of higher education in Nigeria.
* The NESG_NUC ‘Triple Helix Model’ of Academia-Industry-Government Policy Dialogue and Retreat was done on April 4 & 5, 2019 with the aim of developing a university education reform agenda; mobilize private sector support and funding and also support NUC technical competency.
* The NESG HCDPC has met with the officials of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment on the sidelines of the 24th Nigerian Economic Summit in 2018 to seek a collaboration on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the NESG and the FML&E to promote initiatives for employment creation and capacity strengthening of the FML&E to deliver on its mandates on job creation;
