Biography
Dr. Zayyad Tsiga is a Senior Policy Manager at J-PAL Africa. Before that, he worked in the Nigerian public sector as the Executive Secretary and CEO of the Kaduna State Residents Identity Management Agency, where he oversaw the Kaduna State digital identity program. He also contributed extensively to the State?s efforts around e-governance, financial inclusion, and social protection and further served as the Secretary of the Kaduna State Economic Development Council between June 2021 and May 2023. His research interests revolve around digital public infrastructure, open standards, inter-organizational systems, e-governance, and e-commerce. Zayyad holds a doctorate and master's degree in information systems and management of IT, respectively, from the University of Nottingham, and a bachelor's degree in business information technology, with first-class honors, from Coventry University. He is also an alumnus of the NESG Bridge Fellowship Program.?
