Ogechi Obiorah

Ogechi Obiorah is the Head of Corporate Affairs, Stakeholder Management, Membership and Partnerships at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). She leads the organisation’s legal, regulatory, governance, stakeholder, membership and partnership functions, and oversees NESG’s engagement with more than 100 private sector member organisations.

She also serves as Company Secretary to the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC) and the Ernest Shonekan Centre for Legislative Reform and Economic Development (ESC), supporting statutory compliance, board governance and institutional accountability.

A lawyer and governance specialist with nearly two decades of experience, Ogechi brings deep expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement and technology law. She is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and holds an LL.M. from the University of Strathclyde. Her research interests include AI governance, technology and IT law, corporate governance, and the ethics of emerging technologies.

Before joining NESG, she worked with Lagos Business School and Barclays Bank and has provided legal consultancy to UNIDO. She is a Fellow of the International Humanistic Management Association and an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators.
