Dr. Aminat is a multidisciplinary researcher with passion for gender development, financial inclusion, climate change and mental health outcomes. She has (17) years of cognate experience in micro-financing, teaching, research and advocacy. She is an adjunct lecturer at the Distant Learning Institute of the University of Lagos and a research fellow at the DaiDeRC Research Centre, Covenant University, Nigeria. Aminat had undertaking cutting-edge research trainings on research writing, data analysis, grant applications and research ethics. She has authored 17 peer-reviewed articles in both international and local journal outlets with strong presence in Scopus, Elsevier, and Emerald outlets. Aminat has won several awards and recognitions some of which are the award of PhD Thesis support from the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), best paper presented in the 3rd Biennial conference of the African research University Alliance amongst others. As a form of policy advocacy, Aminat pitched her voice in ongoing gender responsive shadow budget drafting for the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) and enhancing women capability in aquaculture in the blue economy initiated by the Centre for Gender Economics, Africa (CGE-Africa). She is currently an expert reviewer for the United Nations 7th edition of the Global Environmental Outlook.
