H.E. Uba Sani

Uba Sani is the Executive Governor of Kaduna State and a prominent Nigerian politician, human rights activist, and public policy expert. Before his election as governor in 2023, he represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, where he chaired the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and other Financial Institutions and championed crucial legislation focused on financial inclusion and infrastructural development. A long-time pro-democracy campaigner who fought against military rule during the June 12 struggles, he previously served as a Special Adviser on Public Affairs to the Presidency and has built an extensive background in grassroots mobilization, legislative advocacy, and governance. Deeply committed to human capital development, security reform, and economic transformation, he holds degrees from the University of Jos and the University of Abuja, alongside executive education from the Harvard Kennedy School and the Kennedy School of Government.
