H.E. Dikko Umar Radda

H.E. Dr. Dikko Umar Radda is the Executive Governor of Katsina State, bringing a distinguished background in public administration, academic research, and governance. A trained agricultural economist and risk management specialist, he holds advanced degrees, including a doctorate from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, and previously taught at the tertiary education level. Prior to his election as governor, he built a notable career in public service, serving as the Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), where he championed national initiatives for enterprise growth, job creation, and economic empowerment.  Since assuming office as governor, Dr. Radda has prioritized security sector reforms, agricultural transformation, and human capital development to address regional challenges and foster sustainable socioeconomic growth in Katsina State. Through strategic public investments, institutional restructuring, and collaborative partnerships, he continues to position the state as a vibrant economic center focused on long-term resilience and inclusive development.
