The Research Department of NESG has as its primary function, the gathering, collation and analysis of social and economic data on the Nigerian economy with a view of generating objective and credible information to support the Group’s advocacy programmes and activities. In performing this overarching function, the Department also collates and analyzes sector specific data vital to the Group’s activities and functions. The purpose is to use the outputs of the research to champion evidence-based policy-making by influencing the direction of economic and social policies for the development of a modern globally competitive economy. The Research Department is presently enhancing its database and capacity to play its role effectively.
