NES # 14 Overview
NES #14 is expected to build on the successes of the Thirteenth Summit that was held in September 2007 with the theme - " Nigeria : Positioning for the Top 20 League." It is a general consensus that Nigeria possesses the inherent pre-requisites to be great and is well positioned to become a global economic heavy weight in the future.
What then are the obstacles?
This is the question NES #14 seeks to answer and possibly come out with a blueprint on how Nigeria can turn its potential into reality! Focusing on the realities and possibilities of our times, NES # 14 hinged its theme on: THE RACE TO 2020: THE REALITIES. THE POSSIBILITIES. The Theme incorporates a sense of urgency, the importance of 2020 as our focal point, the realities of today, our potentials/possibilities and how we will bridge the gap between our realities and our possibilities.

About NES
The annual Nigerian Economic Summit (NES) is jointly organized by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group Ltd/Gte (NESG), and the National Planning Commission (NPC) - the Office of the Economic Adviser to the President.
The Summit brings together chief executives/top level operators from the private sector and very senior Government officials to discuss how best to develop the Nigerian economy and monitor the progress that is being made.
